11 year old Rob Lyle dreams of racing his father's treasured Alvis at Brands Hatch - with the roar of the crowd in his ears, cheering on 'Leadfoot, Leadfoot Lyle!'.
Then, during a holiday in the Highlands of Scotland, Rob and his family get caught up in a crazy chase with a roaring, screeching American Pontiac.
But the family's old Alvis isn't ready for the scrapyard yet. And Rob must take his chance to drive to victory in a life or death race against the clock...
