Set in South Florida, Lole is a novel narrated by five childhood friends -- Sergio, Vince, Gule, Alex and Tony. They take turns telling Thomas' story: his death, cremation, and his funeral procession into Everglades National Park. However, at times, these characters forget about Thomas, and they sink into their own living problems.
