Teleportation must surely be the Holy Grail of technology. Imagine that people could move anywhere on earth in mere seconds! Time-wasting plane flights and car trips would be a thing of the past and pollution levels would be greatly reduced. There is no law of physics that prohibits teleportation, but would people go for it if it became available? They might not. Problems with Portals is about the things that could go horribly wrong when Mankind puts too much faith in a very complex technology.
