Using Unix

You can use basic UNIX commands to manipulate files and directories; learn how to edit UNIX files with vi; browse the Internet with Mosaic, Netscape, and Gopher; use e-mail and remote networking commands; write simple shell scripts; copy files between your UNIX system and DOS floppies; back up and restore files; and use graphical versions of UNIX.
