Ryan Boone is fresh back from suspension from his job as an emergency room doctor for running off his smart mouth. This time he is determined not to mess up. His niece is relying on him, and he knows one wrong move could lose him his job, and his chance to get custody of her from her neglectful parents.
Having moved in with his brother to look out for his niece, soon he is sucked into a world of abuse that seems more and more difficult to escape from.
