The Silver Book was the contribution from the proprietors of Aberdeen Bon-Accord and Northern Pictorial newspaper to help Lord Provost Lewis's appeal on behalf of the new Royal Infirmary to reach its £400,000 target. The book features messages of support from notable figures of the day, short stories, poetry, articles on local and medical history and adverts for local businesses.
