Forrest Winters thinks his life is pretty much set. He has one more year of studying before he'll become an archaeology professor. But all that changes when he goes to do research on the legendary Tialong Painting that's being displayed at the Irvine Art Center. The dragon in the painting begs him to free him from his prison. Naturally, Forrest thinks he's going nuts. Who thinks paintings can talk? Soon he has no other choice but to free the dragon shifter.
When Forrest released Song Tao from the painting, he didn't realize the dragon had no intention of leaving him alone. The dragon wants him. Bad. And Forrest soon learns how hard it is to resist a dragon's touch.
