Melanie Tem (1949-2015) wrote eleven novels and dozens of short stories, plus plays and poetry. Her first book, Prodigal, won the Bram Stoker Award for best first novel. Written in collaboration with Steve Rasnic Tem, the story "The Man On the Ceiling" also received the World Fantasy Award.
