Australia in the late 1960’s – the so called dawning of the “Age of Aquarius.”
By chance, Rowan, a twenty year old country lad, befriends an artistically talented and wheel-chair bound Priscilla. As they share the excitement of her first romance, a tender love blossoms.
When Rowan is conscripted into the Army and sent to fight in Vietnam they cling to hope, with promises to one another that their love will defeat the war’s brutality. In their separate worlds, they both confront hostility and loneliness and come to value other close friendships.
But, will this be enough to endure their experiences and disillusion and what will they discover about their love?
