An inn for travelers is visited by the fairy power of the Bean Sidhe, the banshee who warns of approaching doom. One of the travelers who stops to rest during a winter storm is Anann. She seeks out a darker spirit, the Lianhan Sidhe who lives in the forest of Scáth Coille, to save her lover. Her journey comes at a cost, more than she ever imagined.
