The end was even worse than anyone imagined. Demons clawed forth from the earth, laying waste to everything, possessing the unlucky by unleashing an unholy smoke, pulling ghouls from their graves. But in the midst of the scorched wasteland, a bishop discovers a little girl on a swing set, surrounded by daisies. Why is she here? How did she survive?
The bishop brings the child to safety in a fortress settlement in Puget Sound. When that settlement comes under attack, the Watchmen and Rangers who defend the island have one protect the girl. Now the fate of the world—what’s left of it, anyway—lies in the hands of a former stoner/ fry cook and a former sorority girl. But none of that matters after Armageddon—only hope, faith, and love. Of course, skill with a broadsword comes in pretty handy, too.
