Victorian and Edwardian Glasgow from Old Photographs

Glasgow possesses, in Sir John Betjamin's words, 'the finest Victorian architectural heritage in Europe'. Although it has been less photographed than its tourist-conscious 'rival' Edinburgh, a sufficient number of photographs do remain from Glasgow's greatest years for Maurice Lindsay to produce this portrait of splendid buildings, bustling street scenes, and everyday domestic life.
