Rescued

Jane had given up hope. She was wet, cold, beaten, injured, and exhausted. Evidently, under that pine tree in the cold mountain rain was where she was destined to take her last breath. She had used every ounce of fight in her. Now she was sadly resigned to her fate. Nick had come to the mountains to be alone. He was trying desperately to carve out a few weeks of absolute solitude. However, he had no idea what this trip to the mountains had in store for him.
