Poetry. The little book you have in your hand shows what can happen to a well brought-up Catholic boy from New England (Andover, Yale etc.) when he moves west. Part of him regresses to the age of 14 browsing through fat dictionaries on the sniff for dirty words. These short poems were written en route to the day job - the commute - the last ditch pen spasm to commute the daily sentence of eight hours in corporate purgatory. Celebrate the shortening attention span of America by turning a few pages. Save the cover price and read the whole thing in the bookstore. Then, if you don't find anything you want to look at twice, what can I say? - take the book to the counter and demand a refund of your time.
